The right fastener choice affects safety, assembly speed and total cost together. To speed up the quotation process, we recommend clarifying these five criteria.
1. Standard and Form
Which product does your joint require? Hexagon head (DIN 931/933), socket head (DIN 912), countersunk (DIN 7991), eyebolt (DIN 444) or a special form... The standard number defines the complete geometry of the product.
2. Property Class
Determine class 5.6, 8.8 or 10.9 according to your load calculation. If unsure, simply share the load type of the connection (tension, shear, dynamic).
3. Size and Tolerance
State diameter × length (e.g. M24×120) and thread type (coarse/fine), together with any special tolerance requirements.
4. Coating and Corrosion Protection
Depending on the service environment, plain, zinc plated or hot-dip galvanized options should be evaluated.
5. Certification
If your project specification requires a material certificate (EN 10204 3.1) or batch-based test report, stating this at the quotation stage makes delivery planning easier.
